Hong Kong 1st AC / Focus Puller support is booked when the camera package needs to be run by someone who understands the frame, the movement and the pace of the day.
That can mean commercials, interviews, branded content, documentaries or corporate films. The camera side has to fit the lighting plan, the sound setup, client review and the edit path that follows camera prep, lens changes, focus pulling and camera reports.
Camera roles work closely with the DP, 1st AC, 2nd AC, DIT, video assist, gaffer and production manager so the setup, media, monitoring and handoff all stay under control.
